Protection of your personal data

United Security Providers protects your personal data through technical security measures and organizational processes. We ensure that we only collect information from you which serves a necessary purpose. The information collected is handled confidentially at all times and is protected against unauthorized processing and modification, unintentional loss, publication or unauthorized access. Information is transmitted over the Internet using conventional encryption technologies. We cannot offer a comprehensive guarantee of the security of electronically transmitted information because information sent over the Internet can be at risk at the hands of the sender, transmitter and recipient, who are not under our control.

Contact requests sent by email to United Security Providers are collected in our CRM system with the information they contain and stored until revoked. We save in our email archive any email contact requests to which we have replied for a maximum of 10 years, or until revoked. We also save the information provided in our CRM system when you fill out a form on our website and send it to us. The email we receive in this situation is kept for a maximum of 10 years, or until revoked.

Lawfulness of processing personal data

3.    Participation in webinars

You must register if you wish to view one of United Security Providers' webinars (live or from the archive). We need your name and email address for registration. Registration is organized through the GoToWebinar tool. We collect the following data for webinar participation:

4.    Document downloads

United Security Providers offers many documents going into topics in greater detail, such as guides, white papers, offer flyers or success stories. You must register for some of these documents. We collect the following data from your registration:

5.    Web chat

You can use web chat on our website. This service collects your IP address. During the course of the chat you may be asked for further information, as necessary, such as company, email address or phone number to answer your query or provide greater detail. This information is voluntary.

6.    Events

United Security Providers promotes various events in the field of information security. You may register for events via our own website or, occasionally, through third party websites. Personal data may be collected with the registration forms for events, with the nature of the data collected varying depending on the event.

United Security Providers can forward the registered persons' data to third parties in the context of an event. "Third parties" can be hotels, sponsors, co-sponsors, event promoters, organizers (including those which have been reached through third party websites), presenters and discussion participants, etc. Please consult the information for the particular event to find out how your data will be used.

United Security Providers regularly sends out newsletters regarding current IT security topics and specific offers which might be of interest to you. The newsletter can be explicitly subscribed to on our website. We need the following information for this:

United Security Providers also sends you the newsletter automatically after personal conversations, meetings at events, following participation in webinars and after you have downloaded detailed documents.

We collect personal visit and click rates so that we can continuously improve our newsletters and adjust our marketing campaigns to the interests of the readers.

You can view your stored newsletter profile data at any time, amend it, unsubscribe from the newsletter or request the complete and permanent erasure of your data.

Marketing and analysis tools

1.    Google Analytics

This website uses the function of the Google Analytics web analysis service. This is provided by Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies. Cookies are, as described above, text files which are stored on your computer and allow analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is generally transferred to one of Google's servers in the USA and stored there.

In the event that IP anonymizing is enabled on this website, your IP address will first be cut out by Google inside the member states of the European Union or in other signatory states of the European Economic Area Agreement. 2.    Google Adwords and cookie-based advertising

3.    Landing pages

We use landing pages for specific marketing activities; these landing pages are created using tools by external landing page providers located in the United States of America (USA) or in the United Kingdom (UK) and operated on external servers. Your personal data you enter in a form on these pages will be transmitted to us through the servers operated by the tool providers, and may also be stored there. The landing page tool providers are not permitted to use or process your data.

4.    Webinars

We use webinar tools such as GoToWebinar by LogMen Inc., which is located in the USA, for the organization and delivery of our webinars.

If you register for a webinar, your data will be stored in these tools, in GoToWebinar for instance. You will receive from GoToWebinar a registration confirmation with a participation link for the webinar and after a webinar you will receive an email with links to the recording, a user survey or to the presentation shown in the webinar.

5.    Web chat

When you use the web chat offered on our website, the chat is stored on and forward to us by servers owned the web chat operator, which is located in the USA.

6.    Social media plattforms

United Security Providers offers content on various social media platforms to which you might react. The primary purpose of these platforms is to make content more easily accessible and easier to share with other Internet users.

Our website provides social plug-ins for sharing the content with your personal social media network to which this data protection policy does not extend. Once you click on a link we no longer have any influence on the processing of any data transferred to the third party when you click on the link (such as the IP address or the URL on which the link is located), because the behaviour of third parties is naturally outside our control. We cannot therefore accept any responsibility for the processing of your data by third parties. Please note the data protection policy of the relevant provider where the collection, processing or use of personal data is associated with the use of websites offered by others.

Amendments to this data protection policy

United Security Providers may amend this data protection policy as necessary. We will notify you directly by email of important changes.

Your rights to your personal data

As a matter of principle, you have the right to information, correction, erasure, restriction, transmissibility of data, objection and revocation in respect of your personal data. We recommend that you get in touch with us if you believe that our processing of your data is in breach of data protection law, or your rights to data protection have been breached in any other way.
