Thanks to modern technology the device now provides in addition to better performance higher stability and a considerably longer lifespan. The USP Satellite™ combines substantial security functions such as firewall, application level gateway, ipsec and ssl/tls VPN, traffic shaping or link balancing. The core of the attractive aluminium casing is made up of an AMD Geode LX800-processor with a pulse frequency of 500 megahertz. The software, based on a modern 2.6 Linux-kernel, is saved on an SD-card.
This means the USP Satellite™ works without a hard drive which has a positive influence on weight and power consumption. With the measurements of 155x158x28 the USP Satellite™ is therefore a heavyweight amongst solutions for small businesses.
